The Kildare Age Friendly County Alliance launched their 2016-2018 strategy on the 24th February 2016. The strategy was launched by Cllr. Brendan Weld, Mayor of Kildare, who was assisted by centenarian, Mr. Bernard Campbell, Rathcoffey, who had recently celebrated his 100th birthday.
After a thorough consultation process, the Kildare Age Friendly County Alliance, developed the Kildare Age Friendly County Strategy 2016 – 2018. Aims and objectives have been contributed by key service providers, following indicators from the World Health Organisation, with the overall aim of making Kildare a great place to grow old. This will be achieved by maximising collaboration, cohesion and cooperation within the county and beyond.
